About The Founder
Hi flower family, I am Ora the founder of 818 FLORAL BOUTIQUE BAR This is actually my second business venture. I started 818 SHOP LLC in 2018 which was an online women’s boutique. I opened a location for my shop in 2019 and closed down due to covid in 2020 which was heartbreaking. I went through a deep depression because I thought I was a failure. However, I started getting better mentally and came up with my next plan which was 818 FLORAL BOUTIQUE BAR. I would visit floral shops on fannin’ st. daily because I lived in the area and I would purchase flowers at least once a week.
In 2021 and 2022 I started noticing that having a women’s boutique became common everyone started doing online or opening a physical location which made me lose interest and would no longer make me stand out or be difficult and I’ve always been different. One day jokingly I told a friend that I was about to go to floristry school and that I was going to open a flower shop in 2022 march that’s exactly why I did start floristry school online. I attained Floristry Diploma and A certification in flower arrangements. When I finished I was still unsure of my plan and In April my grandma unexpe ctedly passed away. April 20th, 2022 to be exact and was the day I went to get a DBA in 818 Floral Boutique Bar.
However, our name is under 818 SHOP LLC franchise and in September I received my certificate in Sympathy Arranging along with my Shop Management In January of 2023. Today I’ve attained 5 Certifications in Floristry. Furthermore, I am looking forward to expanding my business and sharing my floral designs with the world because they are simply made from the heart so I’ve made the vow that I will give flowers now while I’m still here on earth to my loved ones, friends, and strangers As well because everyone needs love:)
